For Me As Umpire In Chief..The goal is to ensure that games are umpired fairly and according to Little League standards. It is equally important to teach responsibility and accountability to our youth umpires. The Umpire in Chief assembles a team of youth umpires to manage umpiring the bases for both AA and AAA divisions as well as home plate umpires for the single A division. I will work with a professional organization to assign umpires for home plate at the AA and AAA levels and all aspects of our Majors and Juniors program. We coordinate and assign umpires for over 500 games as part of the Spring program for all divisions in addition to the Fall Program. This is the first venture for many of our umpires into a work environment where they need to be on time, manage the flow of a game and be accountable to coaches and each other.
