The Little League Player Agent....The Player Agent looks out for the interests of each baseball player in the league. It all starts with sign-ups and all the proper documentation needed to play Little League Baseball. The Player Agent makes sure each player is assigned to the proper level of play based on league age and ability. A player’s ability is evaluated at Try-Outs. The Player Agent arranges tryouts in front of all the managers and coaches. After tryouts comes the Draft. Here again, the Player Agent makes sure all eligible players are listed by name to all the managers and are then chosen one-by-one until each team reaches its maximum number of players. Once the teams have been put together by draft, the manager will contact each player and welcome them on the team. If a player has to leave a team, the Player Agent keeps the team balanced by moving a player up from one level to the next. At the end of the season, he conducts the All-Star voting that assembles teams to represent Yorba Linda at the playoffs leading to the Little League World Series. I will know every player by name and not so much by sight so, say hi as we all mingle around the games during the season. Richard Alonzo
