As Fundraising Chairman...The “charge” of my office is to develop funding to support the operation of our league. Entering my 3rd year on the EYLLL BOD in the same position in charge of fundraising, my goal is to widen our league’s approach to raising funds to allow our league’s family’s to be impacted financially as little as possible. This year with the help of some key sponsors and dedicated EYLLL BOD members, we will expand our fundraising efforts to include local vendor participation on a grander scale to compliment the ongoing Opening day pancake breakfast, team sponsorships, and Casino Night Sponsorships. We are focusing our efforts to include participation of a local restaurant or two to partner with us in proceeds received during EYLLL designated nights for dining Little league baseball is very important to me personally and my entire family. The sense of community that comes with EYLLL baseball is unparalleled in my opinion. Our community plays a significant role in the development of our kids. I am both proud and excited to be part of EYLLL and value the friendships that have been forged with my family and me. This year to reach our goals financially, we would like the individual team managers to make team sponsorship a priority as early as possible so the league can then move on to developing funds for the Casino Night and the EYLLL family dinner night. If the managers can include the sponsorship hand outs at the first team meeting and set internal team deadlines for securing sponsors, that will save us a lot of time and allow the league to move on to the remaining fundraising events.
As most know, the more funds for the league, the better the league will operate with better equipment, facilities and a reduced cost for our kids to play baseball. Jim Buckley
