The Little League Player Agent....The Player Agents actively oversee the interests of each and every baseball player in the league. It all starts with sign-ups and all the proper documentation needed to play Little League Baseball. The Player Agent makes sure each player is assigned to the proper level of play based on league age and skill/ability. A player’s ability is evaluated during the Try-Outs process. The Player Agent arranges tryouts for the evaluation of all players by managers and coaches. Following tryouts, the Player Agent takes an active role in the draft process. The Player Agent ensures all eligible players are listed by name to all the managers and are then chosen one-by-one until each team reaches its maximum number of players. Once the teams have been assembled through the draft process, managers will contact each player and welcome them to the team. If a player has to leave a team (moving, injury, etc), the Player Agent keeps the team balanced by moving an appropriate player up from one level to the next to compensate for the loss. At the end of the season, he also conducts the All-Star voting process in which competitive teams are assembled to represent East Yorba Linda in District 56 tournament as teams compete for a chance to play in the Little League World Series. I personally look forward to Saturdays in the Spring Season when families and friends alike take to the fields at Travis Ranch. If possible, try to make it a full day, catch-up with good friends, make new friends, and support all of our athletes. One of the most important things in life is to make a difference in the life of a child. I’ll see you out there, Glen Connally
